Works fine on 7.1.0 however requires a patch...see;

i have a rct2.exe and when i double click it, i dont get anything, it just takes me to crossover 7.1

when i double click the actual Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 shortcut, it shows it in the dock, but nothing happens.

could u please explain how u work this patch thing.

im really confused and totally noobing out right now.

well i have seemed to have gotten it wrking fine! its awesome. but how do i just play the game inside of a smaller winder? instead of fullscreen. thanks

You can try enabling emulation of a virtual desktop for the bottle. Configure -> Manage Bottles -> select Bottle -> Control Panel -> winecfg -> Graphics -> Emulate virtual desktop.

I can't seem to figure it out... I installed rct2... but there's only this icon of rct2 and when I click on it nothing happens... it opens, but nothing happens...
Then I have this patch but I don't know where/how to put it... Can someone please tell me more...

..The no-cd patch you downloaded, is likely to be a .rar archive.
You'll need to unpack that first - it contains the patched rct2.exe

file. When you installed the game with crossover, it will have
copied stuff to your home directory - use whatever search tool
your OS provides to find rct2.exe in your home directory. When
found, replace the rct2.exe found in your .cxgames directory with
the exe file from the no-cd archive...

I can't find any rct2.exe file in my home directory but the downloaded no-cd patch rct2.exe file...
oh and I'm using MacOS 10.5.7. (MacBook)

Edit: If I double click on the rct2.exe (no-cd patch) I get this white screen with a grey little operating screen with: .\ and two buttons one on which says nothing and on on which says something like rollercoastertycoon (it looks like the text doesn't fit the button) and when I press enter I get the following error message: Missing or inaccessible data file

I can't change the names of the attractions though, because than the game gets stuck :P But I can play it already :D

I tried to download the no-cd patch. I just get a blank screen. If I click on the download itself, it says "insufficient buffer," and then it says that the application to run the patch is not in the bottle...or something like that. I don't know what I'm doing....and all i want to do is watch my fake roller coasters! Please help?

All I can think of, is either you've grabbed the wrong patch...or more likely,
you're doing something wrong....have you checked the tips&tricks? See..
