Hi,

I really want to install my roller coaster tycoon 2. I have already tried and seen that it is not possible to play RCT2 with the normal CD.
Unfortunately, i'n not so lucky in finding a free download but i'm willing to pay $10 for the download gog.com is offering.
If i'm sure that it will work. Is there someone who can help me step by step?
What should I do exactly after I downloaded the game from gog.com?

p.s. I'm running OSX lion and I have crossover 10.1.1

It looked ok, I was able to play the game, but when I tried to save my game, everything freezed and I had to complete turn of my macbook.
Any suggestions what I should do?

Hi,

..this is a known limitation with this title - you must have 'emulated
virtual desktop' enabled @ 1024x768. You can get to this via Crossover (Games)
menu -> Configure -> Manage Bottles -> highlight the bottle you want to work
on -> Control Panel -> launch the Wine Configuration item. Now click on the
Graphics tab in the GUI that pops up - you will see the setting & checkbox
for what I speak of. Note that the default 'desktop size' is set at 800x600
-- change this to 1024x768, make sure you've ticked the emulated desktop
feature, click Apply -> OK. Now restart RCT2 , you should be able to save/load
game files now...

I am also looking to play this games on a mac, but before i buy the game and pay for this software i wanted to ask..Will this work if i have a MacBook pro?

I can't say anything about how to get the game itself, but for CrossOver, we always encourage people to use the free trial. Our free trial is time-limited, but functionally exactly the same as the shipping version. So, if you can get a hold of a copy of the software you want to test, our trial is free and you can try CrossOver, on your particular machine and for your exact needs, before you buy.
