The RIP - Trilogy pack did not display any issues when installed/run via the Steam interface.
The installation procedure I used was this simple ;
- Purchase the game via Steam using my system's default web-browser (firefox 3.5.x)
- Install the Steam client via the cxinstallwizard builtin target (if not already installed)
- Start the Steam client, and download/install the RIP - Trilogy software
- Launch the game(s)
Note: Rip 2 & Rip 3 suffer to some degree by a known mouse-warping issue
that sees the mouse-pointer leaving the game window (in emulated desktop
mode) -- to minimize this effect, set the mouse sensitivity to maximum and
this problem won't be so much of an issue. Also note, that Rip 3 does support
(and is working with) USB joystick/gamepad devices, and you can side-step
this mousing issue if you have/use one of these devices instead. In fullscreen
mode, the mousing isn't an issue..
Gets a silver straight out of the box - first impressions are this will
change to gold after the mouse-warping issue is hopefully addressed at
some time the future...
Cheers!
