My machine's specs:
OS X 10.6.7
27" iMac
Intel Core i5
2.8 GHz
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5750 w/ 1024MB VRAM
Running on anything but low graphics settings produces fairly unfavorable results in terms of FPS, which is surprising considering my hardware.
In addition, the game will occasionally semi-freeze into a state where my character cannot move on the screen (except for a little bit of arm movement or weapon movement now and then) but will still cast, take damage, heal, etc. There is no way to stop this short of forcing a crash.
Also, accessing the character screen in-game freezes and completely crashes the game every single time I hit it.
Is this specifically an ATI card problem? A driver problem? My machine should be able to chew this game up and spit it out fairly well but as it's running now it's frankly a bit ugly and disappointing. Any suggestions as to how I can go about remedying this situation? I can open a ticket as well but I'd love to hear from other folks. And I realize this error may be similar to the Macbook Pro problems but I felt it was worth starting a thread specifically regarding iMacs, since I figure there must be others with this type of machine who want to play Rift! :)
