No luck with 4.2RC1

No luck yet with this application under 4.2RC1. It stalls when trying to install Windows Media Player 7.1 libraries. I haven't played with installing those via the scripts linked at the wiki page given above.

Sounds like we didn't get the patches Evan needed;
that will be in 5.0 (4.2 is a bug fix release so it's 'stable').

Cheers,

Jer

There were a couple of small patches I submitted that were integrated into the public version a while back that would probably be necessary for Crossover Office as well. The rest of the work I've done is mostly to fix regressions in the public version. There is something to be said for QA! 😊 I can point them out when the time comes for the 5.0 push, if needed.

The installation of Media Player 7.1 can be somewhat frail. I've found that the less I tweak things, and the fewer things I click, the better things go. It's worse under the public version at the moment. It installs well enough to get Rhapsody working, but it's not pretty!
