Return to Castle Wolfenstein on Mac M1 Max and 5120 x 1440 Monitor / Steam

I installed RTCW and it came up in low resolution stretched across my monitor. I went into setting and saw there was no widescreen setting for my native monitor resolution, because it is an old game and 5120x1440 was unheard of then, so I made it the highest option available then it restarted and crashes. I tried to delete it and reinstall but it seems to have kept the setting file as now it will no longer launch and just crashes immediately. Here is the dump:

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

Does anyone have any recommendations? How can I get it working again? Are there any hacks to get it to run in widescreen high resolution?

Thanks!

Hi there,

The settings file likely lives in your Documents folder, so you can go hunting there to find and edit it.

Best,
Meredith
