Got it running with RMC Version 3.01, Crossover 8.0.1, Mac OS 10.6.1

Running as of 09/15/2009. Tested on Mac OS 10.4.11 (Mac Pro 2006 Hardware) & Mac OS 10.6.1 (Mac Mini 2009 Hardware)
Replay Media Capture version 3.01 (latest as of this writing)

1) Install Replay Media Catcher into a Win XP bottle

2) Start Replay Media Catcher. It will error out, missing the files "Mfc42.dll" and "Msvcp60.dll." Now we can use this information.

3) Install Windows Media Player 9 into a new bottle. It will default to win98 type. This is OK. Install it completely.

4) Go to "Configure --> Manage Bottles". Select the win98 bottle you just created, go to the Advanced tab, hit the
"Open C: Drive in Finder" button.

5) Navigate to the "Windows --> System32" folder and pull out the two dll's: "Mfc42.ll" and "Msvcp60.dll." Just drag and drop them onto your Mac desktop.

6) Close the Finder window. Now select the winxp bottle (with Replay Media Catcher) and hit the "Open C: Drive in Finder" button.

7) Copy the two Dll's from your Mac desktop into the "Windows --> System32" folder in this bottle.

8) Close the finder window. Restart Replay Media Catcher. It should open now. You can also go back into the Bottle Manager and delete the win98 bottle, you won't need it anymore.

9) Install Internet Explorer 7 into your winXP bottle. Let it install fonts, etc.

10) On your Mac (Safari), download the latest version of Firefox, Win XP version. You can actually use any browser, probably Google Chrome, Opera, etc. will work too. I just don't like Internet Explorer :)

11) Install Firefox into your winXP bottle. Start up Firefox just to get it initialized for the first time.

12) On your Mac (Safari), Go and get the latest Adobe Flash player from here for WinXP, "Other Browsers":
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

13) Install Flashplayer into your winXP bottle.

14) Restart Crossover to freshen things up.

15) Start up Replay Media Catcher. Hit the "Start Recording" button. Start up Firefox or your other favorite browser within Crossover. Browse to Youtube or CNN or whatever and view some videos. You should see the streams appear in the main window of Replay Media catcher as it downloads the streams.

16) It will save files to the directory on your Mac finder here:
Users//(your mac computer name)//Documents//My Recordings

17) Use VLC or whatever to view the FLV files.

Hi Mariusz 69,

Do you have any idea why Crossover wouldn't install the version 4 of the Replay Catcher? Did you try? It says every time, that the installer was interrupted before the end.

Thanks for your answer!
