Red Baron 3D from GOG – doesn't work

I bought the Red Baron Pack from GOG and found the game not to run with CrossOver Games 9.0 on my 13" MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.3: the Sierra splash screen appears, a jingle plays, then I only get an error message that a "severe error" has occured. I already tried different versions of the bottle (Win 95, Win 98, Win XP) and using a virtual desktop, all to no avail.
