• Kyocera Linux Printer Drivers work well on Linux Mint Cinnamon 64-bit (17.x and 18.x). Documents print from native Linux versions of software including: Firefox, GIMP, LibreOffice and Thunderbird.

• Before following the steps below to install a printer in the “Reckon Quicken CashBook Home & Business 2003 (Australia)” bottle, ensure that a “Kyocera-FS-C8020MFP-KPDL” printer can print using a native Linux program.

Steps

1. Check that libcups 32-bit library is installed

In the Terminal, type after the dollar sign ($)
sudo apt-get install libcups2:i386

2. Download Windows PCL driver

Open URL : https://www.kyoceradocumentsolutions.com.au/support/Pages/DownloadCentre.aspx?product=ECOSYS+FS-C8020MFP+-+A3+Smart+Series

3. Right click on “FS-C802xMFP Mini-Driver.zip” and select “Extract Here”
   Folder required for CrossOver Linux:
   …/FS-C802xMFP Mini-Driver/PCL 5c UniDriver v1.1.0216/XP and newer

4. Open CrossOver Linux

5. If Bottles are not showing in the left sidebar, Menu bar → View → Show Bottles

6. Right click on ‘Reckon Quicken CashBook Home & Business 2003 (Australia)’ bottle and select “Install Software into Bottle…”

7. Click ‘Select Application’ and select “Unlisted application”

8. Click ‘Select Installer’ and select “Chose Installer Folder…”
   Choose the directory contacting your installer:
   …/FS-C802xMFP Mini-Driver/PCL 5c UniDriver v1.1.0216/XP and newer

9. Click ‘Continue’

10. Click ‘Install’

11. Dialog box
    Title:
    An error occurred while running the ‘AIEInsertMedia(Unlisted application)’ task
    Body:
    Unable to find the installer in ‘…/Kyocera/FS-C802xMFP Mini-Driver/PCL 5c UniDriver v1.1.0216/XP and newer’

Select ‘Skip This Step’ twice.

12. Select ‘Close’

13. Open “Reckon Quicken CashBook Home & Business 2003 (Australia)”

14. Open the “Printer Setup for Reports and Graphs” (Menu bar → File → Printer Setup → For Reports/Graphs). If printer is installed correctly:
    Printer: Kyocera-FS-C8020MFP-KPDL on CUPS

15. (Optional) Open a one page report and do a test print. “Reckon Quicken CashBook Home & Business 2003 (Australia)” continues to operate normally.
