Ragnarok Online via Iro.ragnarokonline.com

Got it to work as per the WineHQ forums. Downloaded a fresh version of Ragnarok Online Client from iro.ragnarokonline.com on Nov 7, 2005, installed per the Crossover Office installer (pointing it to the install file, which in my case was "ragnarok_ep10_ENG.exe"), and ran it using the following commands in Ubuntu Breezy:

In the Ragnarok install directory, i.e. $HOME/.cxoffice/your_bottle_directory/drive_c/Program?Files/Gravity/RagnarokOnline

Run: /opt/cxoffice/bin/wine Ragexe.exe
For setup: /opt/cxoffice/bin/wine Setup.exe

I'd recommend doing Setup.exe first, and try it using the fullscreen mode (with your screen resolution). Keep in mind there are still graphical bugs, so depending on your video hardware, it may run slowly. Check the forums at the WineHQ for more tips and tricks: (http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=928 )

Hardware:
Nvidia GeForce4 MX 4000 AGP 8x, 128 Mb
Athlon XP 1800+ (1.1Ghz)
C-Media 8738 Sound Chipset

System Software:
Ubuntu "Breezy Badger" 5.10
X.Org 6.8.2 ( "nvidia" driver via Ubuntu synaptic)
Linux Kernel 2.6.12-9-386 (stock Ubuntu kernel)
Gnome 2.12 Ubuntu

Good Luck "/no1"

Ah, and I got it to work in what WineHQ calls "false windowed mode." In the Ragnarok Bottle, create a new entry in the user.reg file that says something like this:

[Software\\Wine\\AppDefaults\\Ragexe.exe\\X11 Driver] (_some_number identical to_other_entries_above_it_i.e. 1131333504)
"Desktop"="800x600"
"DXGrab"="N"
"Managed"="Y"

Do this only for Ragexe, unless you want windows for the patch client (Ragnarok.exe) or the Setup program. Then, in the Setup.exe, set the resolution to full-screen mode, and make the resolution one that matches the above entry. For this example, full-screen mode is set to "800x600".

Note: The user.reg to edit MUST be to the bottle you use when running from command line!! If when running from command line, it says "using default bottle win98," but you edited the user.reg in the "win2000" bottle, it will NOT see it!! Happy gaming!!

Edit: Since I've finally gotten used to how Codeweavers does stuff, you don't have to edit this file manually. Instead, use "regedit" in the bottle that contains Ragnarok, and
create an entry under [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\AppDefaults\Ragexe.exe\X11 Driver]
"Desktop"="800x600"
"Managed"="N"
"DXGrab"="N"

Should have the exact same effect. Also makes it easier if you want to play around with the "Managed" and "DXGrab" settings.
