Quicken 2011 Forum

I've been using Quicken 2010 with crossover 10 under Mac (Lion) without issues, except that printing is limited to a CUPS driver, so I cannot access all of the print options that would normally be available if I were able to actually print through my printer's driver.

I've now upgraded to Crossover 11 and I seem to be unable to print at all. This is probably just a matter of reconfiguring Crossover. However, I'm wondering whether under Crossover 11 and Quicken 2011, one can actually print "natively" -- ie. without a CUPS driver, in which case I'd upgrade to Quicken 2011.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I don't run Crossover on Mac, but looking at the changelog, it doesn't appear like there's been any significant changes in the printing system. Plus, OS X uses CUPS as the backend for printing, so that's why you see it that way.

As I understand it, the CUPS printer is only for printing PDFs. I have been able to use a stripped down version of the printer to print checks in Quicken 2010 via Cross-over, rather than first printing to the CUPS printer and then printing the PDF.

I have been unable to print since the upgrade to CrossOver 11 and am also running Lion. When I attempt t print my Quicken reports to PDF, the dialog box comes up and shows printing to page 1, then disappears. The PDF is nowhere to be found. Are there settings somewhere within Crossover that govern this behavior?
