After updating to CXoffice 5, Quicken fails to do any online fuctions. Keeps asking me to register then compains about not having IE available (which it certainly is). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling fresh, but that didnt change anything.

Dustan,
What distro are you running? I'm running Ubuntu "Breezy" and have installed many different times as well as upgraded from CXO4.2. I haven't noticed any issues with the web connect stuff unless problems arose during the DCOM95 or IE6 installs in the Quicken bottle. Are you able to start IE6 from that bottle? Abbas has a possible fix for the register stuff in his post to the Quicken2k3 tips and tricks page, if you have files backed up from one of your previously registered installs. http://www.codeweavers.com/site/compatibility/browse/name?app_id=468;tips=1
(Check out tip #3)
Good luck
Tim
Same problem here after the latest update to Quicken 2005. Just for the hell of it, try re-installing Quicken, but do not let it do an update. Worked for me.
I installed Quicken 2005 using CXOffice version 5.0.0. I felt forced to register, so I did. Couldn't get finished with the install/update without registering. My IE6 and Quicken, both, reside in the Win98 bottle. The Quicken application update and downloads of Ameritrade data worked flawlessly.
