Quartus II 12.1sp1 web edition

I am trying to run Quartus II 12.1sp1 on OSX. The program installs fine (took a long time, though) and the program runs. Whenever I open the interactive tutorial, read documentation or anything else with a browser icon, the program crashes with 


Internal Error: Sub-system: THR, File: /quartus/ccl/thr/thr_process.c, Line: 478
