When trying to launch DDO with PyLotRO I get an "E08 server not found - may be down" error regardless of what server I try. As far as I can tell, I'm passing the authentication step (since I get an E07 error if I deliberately enter a bad password). Where does the E08 error come from and what can I do to diagnose where the actual problem lies?

The E08 error can occur in one of two ways:

• The authentication of username/password returns no information (highly unlikely since you can get the E07 error at will)
• The authentication fails for some reason other than status code 500 (status code 500 produces the E07 error, any other error status code produces an E08 error).

If you are using the stand-alone (i.e. Windows version) of PyLotRO then their isn't much digging you can do as you'd need to tweak the source code to display the actual html/soap status code (which might give an indication of what the problem is).

I've seen your reply in the DDO forum, I'll reply in there to help you find which part of SNy's script you need to look at and I'll add to my to-do list for PyLotRO saving the feedback from the various http/soap conversations and adding the html/soap status code to the E08 message.
