From the beginning...

I have a mac, and I dual boot windows on it with bootcamp. I tried to use Portal on it, but whenever the portal opened, it crashed.

When the portal appeared at the beginning of the game on Crossover, I was crossing (hehe) my fingers, and hoping that it wouldnt crash.

It didnt. And with minimal lag too.

Actually... the entire game runs smoothly, for the most part. A small bit of lag when portals are in your line of sight, but really, it runs great.
Audio was top notch; incredible quality, and ran incredibly smoothly with minimal crackling.

My specs:

Model: MacBook 2,1
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.16 GHz
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Graphics: Chipset: Intel GMA 950
VRAM: 64 MB of shared system memory.
If I'm missing anything important, please let me know.

During the battle with GLaDOS, there was sooooooo much lag, it wasnt even funny. It was very VERY choppy, but the audio was great... ;D
I tried to lower the graphics, but it did nothing.

Overall, Crossover Games works well with Portal, but it needs a bit of improvement, especially with lag with the last part.

The framerate with portals is usually improved by setting the portal rendering depth to 0 in areas where you don't need to see through portals, like in the ending fight. Your GMA 950 is a very weak GPU which most likely needs this disabled.

Yeah, my game ran pretty smoothly, too. It got laggier in the bos fight for me, but the lag wasn't that bad.
