Good digging -- I have the popcap version (which runs fine on linux),
and the key value here for 'Failure reason' is unset (as opposed to
what you have, with a string value of 'Alpha blend Not Supported'). All
the other keys are the same, and the only differences between us would
be you're on Mac, and our respective videocards (you have the 8800gt,
whereas this linux box has a 8400gs).

I'm hoping to find a way to force it to start in windowed mode, or 3d accel off to start. Trouble is the partner.xml file as many know has a partner.xml.sig which is coded somehow, so we can't just change false to true on the boolean windowed mode tag. It also won't accept ScreenMode regkey which worked as a fix for some for Wine/Linux
