Not working 7.2.0 (steam version) loads but no vid.

I have it on Steam and when I try to load it, audio comes up but video is garbled. Can't get anywhere from there. Same with another popcap game I have on steam (heavy weapon). Not sure what the deal is. The game req. are low so I can play in VMware but would prefer CXG for less resources haha. There's a Mac port but I have it on steam and like achievements. help!

Yes, curious as to why/how this has a silver rating when I can't get this to load either. I've tried fiddling around with dlls and what not with no success so far.

I can answer that - it probably got a silver rating because one
can download it from popcap, and it works straight-up....with
linux and COG 7.2 that is.

That means it's either an issue with the steam version, or, a
something to do with the Mac version of COG. If you're on Mac,
I'd suggest doing the same thing...ie; downloading the game
(demo..) from popcap.com and trying that - it'd help isolate
where the problem might be.

Installed PvZ inside a new XP bottle, installed ok but when runs it just shows small fragments of my desktop all over the screen, similar to when I first ran it on Steam.

Mac OS X 10.5.6; CXG 7.2.1, MacBook Pro nVidia 8600m GT

^^ exactly my situation... hmm =( crossover is the better option if it can get working

I also purchased the game on Steam and get dumped to a blank screen on load. Oh well.

I can confirm the Steam version has this issue on Mac. The standalone version direct from Popcap works well. Of course, there is a Mac standalone version so I think the main issue is for Linux users unable to run the Steam version. For them I suggest running the standalone Windows version!

I'm pretty sure that this is a steam version issue. Was working fine on 2 different machines in my home until the latest steam update. Also, it would appear that the latest steam update has also broken Peggle for me.

I have the steam version as well, I just get a white screen.

While I agree that, since there is a mac version available of the game, the linux users are the primary group seeking a solution, but at the same time, I would prefer to play it in steam. Basically because I'm an achievement whore and don't feel like playing two different save files concurrently just to always be at the same spot in the game. From what I know, saves are not transferrable between platforms... and I can't actually find the save file in the mac version.

Andrew - you definitely can transfer save files between platforms. It took a lot of exploring to find the save files but they're in there somewhere!

7.2.2 Steam version, blank (white) screen after load :/
