Adapted from instructions for generic wine found at http://www.mulebakken.net/notes/pwp35.php. The main complication is that you need a copy of mscms.dll from an XP installation in order to make color management work. I have no idea of the licensing implications here, but in my case I did have a laptop to copy from. This is what I did:
Copy over c:\windows\system32\mscms.dll from laptop to
.cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/Windows/System
Add
"mscms" = "native,builtin"
to [DllOverrides] section of .cxoffice/dotwine/config
mkdir .cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/Windows/color
Link dosdevices/e: to ../fake_windows/Windows/temp
Download picture window pro demo
ftp://ftp.bmtmicro.com/bmtmicro/DLC_WEB/Picture%20Window%20(BMT%20Micro)/Picture%20Window%20Pro/setup.exe
Install as unsupported software in cxoffice.
Before running the program:
cp .cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/Program\ Files/Digital\ Light\ \&\ Color/Picture\ Window\ Pro\ 3.5/Profiles/* .cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/Windows/color/
It runs, with no obvious problems so far.
