i switched to ubuntu 14.04 i installed picasa over cross tie. everything works but if i try to click registration at the google account the registration pop up appears and as soon as i try to type my name in it dissapears and a error occurs. it says that there is a problem with the authentication of my google account.
Any help?
I get the same thing in 12.04. Don't know what the issue is. What appals me is the fact the for some stupid reason picasa still relies on IE's engine to render the login page and connect to google's services... bleah
Picasa will no longer work with crossover. The problem is it depends on functionality provided by IE8 to login. For it to work Google would have to change their app to use a different browser to login... isn't going to happen since Google has stopped Picasa development. I would imagine the replacement will be Chrome driven in some fashion or form. The other option would be to have Crossover/Wine to add support for IE8 or later... I don't see that happening either.
