Info for anyone who needs it.

I installed picassa in its own win XP bottle, everything seemed to work good. I installed the mozilla active x control, connectivity still was problematic especially when trying to send from my gmail account. Sending with my regular email program did open evolution and worked fine.

All the picture editing features work well and that is why I use Picassa. Connectivity does not matter so much to me F-Spot can upload to picassa and works well enough for most of my needs anyway.

What version of Picasa are you using? And can you move images between folders?

I am running Picassa 2.6.0
Through CX Office 6.0.1
And my machine is running Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn Beta

Yes moving pictures between folders and between albums etc seems to work fine. The whole program runs fairly smoothly with the exception of the gmail integration, but I just set up my gmail account in Evolution and then use the default mail program to email pictures. It works well.

Note I just reinstalled this to test it again, Win XP Bottle - runs well from scratch no connectivity to Picassa Uploads without the control installed, but honestly I use FSpot anyway, I like Picassa for it's quick and easy image editing features though.

I keep forgetting that there are Linux users here, too. So Picasa works great (aside from internet connectivity) in Linux, but not under OS X. Poo.
