My mother is a scrapbooking fiend, so she got the Pazzles cutter which comes bundled with the Pazzles Inspiration design software. Tech Support (me) has been trying to make it work under Mac OS X, since she doesn't have Windows to install under Boot Camp.
Inspiration installs on Mac OS X under a winxp bottle, but it fails to run. It will run with the addition of these two DLLs to c:\Windows\System32:
mfc42.dll (Visual C runtime)
icmui.dll (Colour matching library for Windows)
The former is freely redistributable from Microsoft, but the latter is part of Windows and doesn't appear to be re-implemented in Wine.
This may be a pyrrhic victory, however, because the software is useless without the cutter machine, which is a USB device of unknown type. It looks like Inspirations has a userland driver in it.
