OK, so I'm a new advocate but I really want to get Paradise and some other adventure games going in linux so I'll be persistent and see what happens.
I couldn't get it to install using the Crossover Games installer, but using the windows command line worked just fine, possibly even better than my first install under windows. It picked up the 2nd and 3rd CDs no worries. Don't need to install DirectX when it prompts you - crossover takes care of that.

The game ran the first time, hooray![/b]
It is really, really slow. But if you are patient it does work, menus come up, I could save and turn down the graphics options etc. I could get Anne, the main character, to move, but it all happens very slowly. Partly this might be that I'm running it on an ubuntu machine that doesn't exceed the required specs by much. Partly I think other advocates are also reporting issues with DirectX 9 games and the current version of Crossover Games. I'll try some of the new betas and some older versions to see whether I can improve it.
Sound was great. Cut scenes animation a little slow, but they don't crash.
Only imperfection apart from the slowness is a teeny bit of artifacting around the ends of Anne's hair. Otherwise graphics are great, but as most of the background to this game is stills that helps.
I have played this game almost to the end in Windows and I know it is VERY buggy, there are reports that the remake for the Nintendo DS will be rebuilt from scratch it is that bad. But a lot of the bugs are a bit random - they occur at known points but may or may not be a problem for you. If you get stuck search online to see if its a known troublespot.
Ok, thats it for now till I try some other settings and versions, but the good news is it works!
