PaperPort 11

I purchased a Xerox DocuMate 515 which came with a copy of Paperport Pro 11. I've installed the application into a Windows XP bottle with Crossover 11.1 using installer supplied on CD from Xerox. All of the programmers installed properly. Paperport Pro 11 starts and can browse files. However, it does not see the scanner (which is plugged in and powered on). None of the other applications included with the scanner (Omnipage Pro 15, QuickScan) recognize the scanner.

Even though the application runs, it is useless for scanning documents if it won't see the scanner. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get Crossover to see the scanner?

Kim, I, too, have found that my scanners aren't recognized by apps installed into Crossover, and agree that PaperPort 11, "is useless for scanning documents if it won't see the scanner." However, if an image is acquired by native OS X software (including Preview), PaperPort's file conversion and cataloguing features could be used. I wonder if there's potential for an Automator workflow....

A search of Advocate Forums for "scanner" returned 49 hits. I'm unsure what to make of it, but you might see Caron Wills' post here.
