PackMaster 2008 Forum

I'm trying to install Pack Master 2008 on my MBP with Snow Leopard and Crossover Pro 8.

Here are the steps I take:

1. Run the crossover application installer
2. choose to install unsupported software. I created a new win2000 bottle for it.
3. Selecting the CD didn't work, so I choose to select the installer file and choose Setup.exe on the PM2008 CD
4. The installer launches, I choose express install, I accept the terms and click Yes I have an installer key
5. The installer starts to install files, but it fails and hangs with this dialog:

The file C:\Troopmaster Software\PM4\RegStatus.tsi could not be opened.

I've tried a winxp and winvista bottle, and I've tried an advanced install in the PM2008 installer and chosen a path with no spaces in it and I still get the same error.

Any suggestions?

Same error running Ubuntu 9.10 as host using Crossover Linux Pro 8.0.3. Download the setup.exe from Troopmaster.com and can't move forward past the regstatus.tsi error...

Did you ever have any luck installing on ubuntu? i'm trying to install on lucid right now and am running into the exact same error.

I know this post is really old, but if anyone else runs into this issue...
I was able to get it running on my Ubuntu Natty machine by saying that I did not have a license when prompted by the installer and then entering the license information after the install was complete.
I also had to download and run the visual c++ redistributable files from Microsoft to get wine to actually run the installer correctly.
