I'm confused. There are old threads mentioning that Origin updates had broken their patch process, but apparently the bugs were subsequently fixed (WineHQ and CrossOver). I just installed Origin to a new bottle, but it also fails at the patch update.
I tried one of the mentioned workarounds (copying files from an Application Data directory to Program Files), but it still doesn't work for me. Is this a brand new bug, a still existing one, or PEBCAK? Is Origin working for other people?
I tried just running Origin.exe in my bottle and logging the results (given below). I found this old thread that mentioned it could be solved by installing "gnome-keyring:i386", so I did. I ran Origin.exe again and got the same "fixme" lines but no "p11-kit" errors. The program still didn't work for me, though, so I reinstalled "gnome-keyring" to put my system back like it started. :) This is more than I know about Linux, so hopefully somebody can sleuth better than I am.

Depends in which wine version this problem was fixed. CrossOver does not use the latest version.
