It's much easier to make Origin 7.5 and 8.x run in Crossover, all you have to do is install Microsoft XML Parser 3.0, found in the Runtime Support Components section in the Crossover 9 installer. It installs that three dlls that is mention in the Tips & Tricks, and you don't need to have access to a Windows XP.
