The program starts up, but scans for X-functions each time. Attempting to load an ascii file via the buttons results in an error box stating:
Error: DMM:=0
LabTalk expression error: 1600
The menu bar items Analysis, Statistics and Image are empty. Has anyone had greater success with this application? I've tried the tricks listed for earlier versions of Origin.
I have all the same problems you do. In addition, I cannot create a plot from multiple series from a data file. This came up because I created the plot in Origin 6.1 on an XP machine, but it only rendered the first series in the plot correctly. This DOESN'T happen with all plots. I have plenty of other multiple series plots, even within the same file, but a certain kind seems to render incorrectly and then not be plottable at all.
I've a problem with Origin 8RC3 which I tried with the crossover trial 7.02.
after entering data I tried to make a graph, but the usual pop up windows where you can select the data for x and other doesn't appear. insted it opens a diagramm with nothing in it.
another problem: if I select help the help window won't open.
The only reason for me to buy crossover would be if Origin works... maybe you can fix the problems with this app.
still the same problems with crossover 7.1. btw. tried it with wine and at least the help window would pop up. but the other problems do also occur.
It is working now with Crossover 7.1 on Mac. Check the tips & tricks!
