The layers themselves seem to work perfectly fine, however the tab/window that displays the layers' options, activity, order, and preview shows a transparent area for each layer's "slice" and only shows the text of it's style.
To see what I mean, here is a screenshot:

It doesn't cause the program to cease to function, so it's simply an incredible annoyance. For those who have used this program long enough to memorize the location of the activity button and such for each layer, it isn't too big of a convenience.
Though, it really would be nice to see the preview for organization. :(
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the software (openCanvas as well as crossOver) multiple times. I also made sure it wasn't simply a corrupt installer file by downloading a fresh one from the portalgraphics site.
Also, I recall having a similar problem with the windows in STEAM being invisible, so I tried the same solution of stopping Compiz-Fusion from loading automatically with "metacity --replace" in terminal, but no luck. I don't have much advanced knowledge on Linux and such, so I'm not sure if the layer slices functioned the same way or not. (Oh well, it was worth a try.)
I'm running on Ubuntu Hardy with a Lenovo X61 wacom tablet laptop using crossOver Pro 7.1.0
If there's any other details needed, just let me know and I'll post them. ;)
