problem with eigenvalue in Atlus/Omnic

Hello, I am a M.Sc student and I am interested in statistical analysis..
I have a problem with calculating variance (IR data).
I use PCA from Omnic/Atlus software. I obtained (for example) 4 factors and corresponding to them eigenvalues. But when I want to calculate variance [%] for one component I obtain a value of variance over 100%.. (for example for the first component eigenvalue is 98,78 and the total number of variables is 80)... I have this problem with each sample I am testing.. So something is going wrong..
I am feeling green and I am slowly debilitating. - I do not know what I am doing incorrect.
I am a begginer in these branch -a self-taught person.
If someone could help me I would be very grateful.
Thank you very much in advance.
