NoteScraps (see NoteScraps.com) is a terrific program. It's been released by its owner (Logos) as freeware. Basically it's a wonderful way to store and sort all of the creative scraps of information in your mind (or new ones as they come to you!) using an engaging Post-It Note style interface. The search function causes the notes to appear and disappear in groups right there within the colorful interface.

I did get it to run on the Mac version of CrossOver with LOTS of dependencies. Here are my installation notes:
First, create a Windows XP bottle.
Next, install:
1) Flashplayer 11 AX
2) C++ 2013 (not the 64-bit version)
3) .Net 3.5.1
4) .Net 4.0
5) .Net 4.5.1
6) Now from the Mac side, use Safari (or another Mac browser) and go to this link:

From there, locate this string:
(Released 3/11/2014) Flash Player 12.0.0.77 (157.63 MB)
Download that file to your desktop. Here's a direct link to the proper file:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_12.0.0.77_archive.zip
Now unzip that archive, and you'll see two folder. Open the first one named "12_0_r0_77". Inside that, look for the file named:
flashplayer12_0r0_77_winax.exe
Now manually install this file using the Crossover interface. Make sure you select that file, and then make sure you install it into the same Windows XP bottle.
7) Microsoft Visual Basic 6 Runtime Service Pack 6
8) Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Common Controls
9) Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 (4.2 & 6.0) Redistributable
10) DirectX for Modern Games
11) NOW FINALLY install the .msi installer for NoteScraps from NoteScraps.com. After installing it, you’ll see “click here to buy” link at the bottom of the program. IGNORE THAT LINK, but note that right below it there is a smaller hyperlink that says “click here if you already have a license” or words to that effect. Register using the free license: The phrase "NoteScraps Free License" should be used for the name (without quotes), and the free license serial number is 5225532D3C4E22C18825FC66BF83B126 ... Done!
