I've heard that Nota Bene with built in Crossover works with MacOS Monterey 12.0 but not with Monterey 12.1. If this is true, I guess Apple is making things worse not better with the upgrades. Does anyone know about Nota Bene 13 (with built in Crossover) compatibility with Monterey 12.1? I am ready to buy a new MacBook Pro but want to keep using Nota Bene. This is very important to my work life.

I'd be curious to know where you heard that. I have not testing Nota Bene 13 on Monterey, but I have not heard any other reports of applications working with Monterey 12.0 but not Monterey 12.1.

The warning about Notabene and Monterey came from Notabene developer Steve Siebert, so it is legit.
Steve has developed an update (version 13.0.30-rc8) which not only makes NotaBene work under Monterey but also speeds up NB with the Mac M1. The update is scheduled for release in ISO Week 1 or 2 of 2022. I (and several other Notabene beta-testers) am currently running this under Monterey with no problems and with a not insignificant increase in speed.
