Due to NMS being 64-bit, it is unlikely it will run under CX until the stable releases gain 64-bit compatibility.

Which they now do, and NMS runs perfectly :)

You said that it runs perfectly?
I tried to install it on my mac (2016 i7 2.9 macbook pro with radeon 460 4Gb) and the game won't start.
It installed just fine on a windows 10 x64 bottle but it refuses to start when I try to load it through steam (I of course installed steam first)
The first time I tried to run it I saw that it run the 4 "first time run" steps and then nothing. It grabbed a bit of my CPU and it just stayed there. If I tried to start it I got a message that the application is already running.
I see that the used CPU time is from the wineloader64 that constantly runs in the background.
When I try to close steam I get a "waiting for no man's sky to close" message and then after a while steam closes normally and cpu is back to normal. I can then quit the windows 10 bottle and I'm done.
Why do you think that is?
It runs perfectly if you have Nvidia hardware. Which is a shame. It runs better on Nvidia on Windows too after the last update.

!!!
So for AMD users? Nothing?
Correct, for AMD users...nothing. I switched to an AMD card recently and NMS no longer runs :(
I mean, I can install it, and run it, but all the graphics are plain white, so can't see anything.
Have we revisited this post-NEXT?
I hear that the AMD issues are gone. Do you think it will run in a bottle now?

No Man's Sky requires OpenGL 4.5 and MacOs only support OpenGL up to v4.1 so for now it will not gonna work on Mac
with CrossOver.
Or at least until someone makes modern OpenGL to Metal wrapper plugin.
