Hows the game itself?
This looks like a cool game, look forward to hearing more!
Thanks,
Andrew.
Hi,
That is so much a question you shouldn't have asked <grin>...I've
been a real life drag racer for years, so it's going to need to be
a really good game to catch my subscription dollar ;)
That said, game is seemingly limited to 800x600 windowed mode at the
moment, and everything works -- the car controls concept is rather
interesting, in as much as they've come up with a decent idea to
present such equally for all players - getting used to it is another
matter, and trying to get a good reaction time/launch together will
put you to the test - there's a practice track for you to hone your
skills...it's best to spend a bit of time here ;)
The ingame race perspective is interesting as well, and the community
is plenty active and full of rogues and cheaters (just like real life :)
So, you know, it's not a bad notion all up...bigger window would be
nice, it's not exactly what you'd call graphics intensive so it could
easily afford it - perhaps it'll grow such when it goes final, but I
know a major aim of the game is to present as level a playfield as
possible for all players regardless of enduser machine specs...so who
knows, maybe that's part of it (or I'm too stupid to find the options
menu 8)...suffice it to say it's an app I'm planning to keep my eye on...
Cheers!
