Neverwinter installer locking system

I'm trying to install Neverwinter Nights on my iMac, using Crossover Games 7.2.0, but something's going wrong.

I get as far as accepting the file location, but then it get stuck on a black screen with a white square, where I suppose it's trying to draw a window. At this point, everything seems to stop. The CD is not spinning, the screen is not updated and I'm unable to to do anything. The system seems completely locked. The only way out is to shut it down, using the power-button.

I've tried it several times now, both in 7.2.0 and 7.0.0. Even letting it "run" for 90 minutes, without anything happening.

My system specs: iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS, Mac OS X 10.5.6

Any suggestions?

Well - I guess I should reply to my own thread, as I usually do.

I found a way out. I assume my problem has to do with my current OS on my iMac. So I decided to try it on my wifes Macbook, which runs a OS X 10.4.X (Hasn't really been updated for a while). And everything ran as prdicted in Tobys thread http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=84;forum=1;msg=34013 . I then transfered the bottle to my iMac, and now it runs flawless in the highest settings. Only problem is that it has to be launched using nwnmain.exe not the neverwinter nights that's displayed in the menu (at least on my system), so you have to go into to the c:/ drive on the bottle and locate the nwnmain.exe to start the game.
The last problem (which is known to crossover game users allready) is that the toolkit doesn't work. If anyone figure out how to solve it, please let us know.

The toolkit uses child window opengl rendering which does not (yet) work on MacOS. On Linux it works if you have a reasonable 3D driver(Nvidia, or fglrx 9.3. Not yet on the open source driver, but those will get better soon)

I've just tried installing NWN on my system and I've run into the same problem as thread starter. I don't have similar way out since there is no older system available.

What could be the reason for system lock up? It does that just after selecting the install location. The screen stops redrawing (only white box instead of the file location selector on black background) and the whole system becomes unresponsive. Nothing helps and does anything, even command+alt+esc does nothing - the only thing that works is keeping power button pressed...

Has anyone installed the game succesfully on leopard 10.5.7 and crossover games 7.2.0 ?

Thanks.
