Working with other's shared desktops

I have CXOffice 3.0.1 standard running on debian (unstable/testing) and was able to get NetMeeting 3.0.1 working today by installing after changing by x server color depth to 24 bpp and installing Office XP service pack 3 and the latest windows installer updates as unspported applications. The version is reported in the "About..." screen as 3.0.1 (4.4.3399).

I run NetMeeting with the following command line:

/opt/cxoffice/bin/wine --winver nt40 --cx-app "C:\Program Files\NetMeeting\CONF.EXE"

I can connect to others using "Call" -> "New Call..." and entering an IP address.

Others are able to share their desktop with me, and both whiteboarding and chat work flawlessly.

Before installing these updates, I kept recieveing errors in verbose mode about a particular VXD, but those no longer appear. My remaining errors occur when there should be "tooltips" appearing, and that's understandable.

I would say that this app could be moved to Bronze... I am quite happy.

Logan,

Have you had similar success with 4.0.1?

Thanks,

/Ulrich
