NetAcquire Forum

NetAcquire works great under CrossOver Office. There are two bugs, but they are both rather minor and do not greatly affect game play (they are noted in the "Known Issues" tab for this app). The installation is easy to do and runs well -- there are no real tricks to getting it installed. The program is free and can be downloaded from http://members.cox.net/lornic/NetAcquire/.
The steps for installation are noted in the "Tips & Tricks" section for this app. The only other issue of note with this program is that there isn't a central game server that connects clients together -- you have to know of a running server. There is a NetAcquire group on Yahoo and MSN, both which list servers. I found this page to be a good listing of servers:

First time I have seen this website and thought I should mention some errors:

1. The NetAcquire website is now at http://www3.telus.net/kensit/NetAcquire. Also, Kensit will be getting the kensit.ca domain and that will become the permanent home in the future (making http://kensit.ca/NetAcquire) the webpage for it.

2. The Queens University web link no longer exists and is not the definitive source for a list of NetAcquire servers. The MSN group is the DEFINITIVE site of all permanent/semi-permanent servers. Go to http://groups.msn.com/NetAcquirePlayers.

3. The installer for NetAcquire has been replaced with a far superior (and standard) one. Hence a screenshot is wrong.

4. The latest version is 2.0.2. There is no version 2.1.0 (was probably mistyped from 2.0.1).
