I'm trying the install, so this is not a walk-through, but a place to share notes. I'll try to clean up after I've finished.
New winvista bottle, .NET 2.0 installed. If .NET 2.0 is not installed, the installer will hang starting up the database services.
Installer fails installing all of the drivers with an "installer ended prematurely" error, but the rest of the install continues successfully.
i was able to register the product and serial key successfully.
Initial launch fails because the SQL Express database isn't running...
The SQL Express setup files exist and installed properly, but they never actually ran and installed. Launching manually gives an unuseable window with no actionable buttons. I'm going to mark this as "known not to work" for now while I work in SQL Express.
The NeatRecieptsDatabaseController services needs to be started, but fails without SQLExpress. Once the SQLExpress install is fixed, the database controller still also needs to be started with:
wine --bottle neatreciepts net start neatworksdatabasecontroller
