Unfortunately the steam demo version does not work for me. The game starts without any problems, but starting a tutorial or a battle does not work for me.

Hi,
It's near impossible for folks to help you unless you provide some
more information about your setup -- platform/OS{version}, what kind
of video card you have (and if applicable what drivers), and of course
exactly which version of crossover you are using.
Cheers!
oh sorry, im using the trial of crossover 9.1, with....
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,5
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.26 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
and...NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
Does this help??
It helps in as much as everyone now knows not to compare results using
linux with a 9800gts card or Mac with an Ati 5670 against your situation...
Just looking over at winehq I notice this title is known to work with a
wine patch and subject to a winebug...

@Tanguy Lagroy -- what system setup are you using that got this title working for you?
Cheers!
sorry, im confused now. how would i install this patch with crossover, and where can i download this patch?
Thanks
Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you 8)
Applying a wine patch to crossover's wine engine is a non-trivial
task - even applying it to mainstream wine, one would need to be
conversant with patching/compiling/installing wine itself.....
It would be helpful if 'Tanguy Lagroy' told us the system spec used
to get it going (although I'm confused by the recount there of installing
via Steam and then inserting the disc to play it??...sounds strange)
Ummm....if you could grab a debuglog and upload it to rapidshare or
such and post the download URL back here I could grab it and have a look
to check what's going on. There's instructions on how to grab a debug
log here....see;
http://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/SubmitTechSupportLog
It's quite likely you may need to change some registry settings with
a 9400M to get it running, but I am unsure which setting to change
(I don't have that chipset) but if you manage to grab a debuglog it
may help narrow that down...
Cheers!
With the version 9.1 the game does not start for me anymore :(. Any suggestions?
