I was able to successfully install Myth III: The Wolf Age in a WinXP bottle on the following machine:
Soyo SY-7ISA+ Intel i815 Motherboard
Intel Pentium III 866 MHz Processor
512 MB SDRAM
PNY Verto GeForce FX 5200 AGP 8x 256 MB DDR
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 PCI Sound Card (SB0220)
Samsung CD-RW/DVD Drive Model: TS-H492A/RSWN
Dual Boot openSUSE Linux 10.3/Windows XP Pro
CodeWeavers CrossOver Games for Linux Version 7.1.2
It was necessary to use the setup.exe file in the \Install directory in order to complete the installation rather than the autorun.exe in the root directory. I also used the Version 1.3.1 patch to upgrade the game.
Unfortunately, the game requires QuickTime (Version 5 is included on the CD-ROM), and this is problematic on my machine. When I attempt to run the game using autorun.exe in the root CD-ROM directory or myth3.exe in the install directory, I get to the main screen, but any options that I choose send me back to the desktop. The Options option displays the Option screen briefly, but then I wind up back at the desktop.
