Running on OSX?

I have an imac, running Leopard with CX games 7.1.1 installed and I'm trying to get the Multiwinia demo working through steam. I have it installed, but when I run it I get the loading screen, with the Introversion logo, the spinning green-thing at the bottom right, the the screen goes a purpley colour and it exits back to the desktop. Any suggestions?
