So, should one run this under CrossOver Games, as it's in the Games section? Or run it under CrossOver (Pro/Standard) since it's really an application that makes games?

Hi,
Best advice is to download the demo versions of both crossover and crossover-games
and try this title with both versions -- there are too many variables (OS version,
videocard model, etc) to be able to accurately predict results, so the best idea
is to 'try it yourself on your own setup' sort of idea.
Hope this helps...
Cheers!
Well, I did both. And it didn't work on either. Same error in both of them too.
On a white early '09 MacBook, 4GB RAM, 2.0 Intel Core 2 Duo, 10.6.2.
When installing right when it gets to 100% the installer exits. Says there's an error, but nothing else. When trying to start the application, it says it was installed incorrectly, and should be reinstalled.
Hi,
There's a thread over at WineHQ AppDB related to the error you describe...see;
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=5361&iTestingId=43648
Although related to the -demo- of this title, retrying the installation (ontop of
what's already installed) might be a solution -- let me know how it goes...
Btw, what videocard does your Mac have fitted?
Cheers!
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
And it's all good I guess. Since I don't really feel like reading through a guide to get it working. The only reason I need it is because my Vista totally crashed tonight. Ironically just after installing Adobe Acrobat, which my father had his MacBook crash from as well. I'll probably have to reinstall Windows.
Thanks anyway.
Forgot to mention that I'm just running it through Wine. Running things from Terminal is so fun. Specially when you compile yourself :D
