I can't get this to work with USB ODB adapter

@Alastair Bot what ODB port did you get this to work with?

I have a WiFi adapter which seems to communicate with multiecuscan but isn't compatible with my car and a serial/USB ODB adapter which is compatible with the car but causes an unhandled exception in multiecuscan :-(
