6.1 is outdated, i think codeweavers should change this app name to 6.2, as it's almost the same, and it doesn't make sense to work on an outdated version of this app, don't you think?

Hmm. Hard to say; handling different versions is quite tricky.
I suspect you're right for Messenger, and what's more, it'll
be hard to get MSN Messenger 6.1 I bet.
But for things like MS Office, it wouldn't make sense...

I just found a "nasty" way to make 6.2 work. After install cx and msn messenger, go and download the newest version of wine, compile and install it. Then replace those in $CXOFFICE/libs/wine with $WINE/libs/wine. There are several files that cannot be found in $WINE/libs/wine, make sure they are still in $CXOFFICE/libs/wine; also, there are some files that can only be found in $WINE/libs/wine, make sure they are not copied. Then, replace $CXOFFICE/bin/wineserver with $WINE/bin/wineserver.
Woohoo, it works now! The contact list shows just like in normal windows. Though the conversation dialog may be very slow to refresh itself.
One disadvantag of this method is, I cant make my powerpoint work after this whole procedure (there maybe other faults, I haven't found yet). So, you may want to move those files to a safe place instead of really replace them.
