Regression CXGames 8 to 9.2.1

This game worked really well for me in CXGames 8 after installing the 1.4 patch (before the patch it would complain about having no CD). In 9.2.1 it complains that I need to insert the CD (which I have done) even after the patch, which makes the game unplayable.
