WORKS: Able to read texts; did not try talking to external ebook device or using store

This software is the best option I could find on my Linux desktop for reading large complex Mobipocket editions such as textbooks.

What works for me:

  • Importing Mobipocket edition from filesystem
  • Reading the text
  • Full Screen
  • Setting font size, margins, etc
  • Bookmarks

What does not work:

  • Choosing another font for body text (fails quietly, no crash)

What I did not test:

  • Connecting to external ebook device
  • Connecting to MobiPocket online store
  • DRM?

Mobipocket Reader for Windows version: 6.2 Build 608
Host OS: Ubuntu 9.10
