I had a vote for this, but I think I'd rather promote a native client.
FBReader is native and appears to support the mobipocket formats.

FBReader is native and appears to support the mobipocket formats.
The idea of Mobireader, for me at least, is RSS feeds. I can use it to sync updated RSS feeds to my Palm PDA. It also supports lots of other mobile platforms.
The latest version of Mobireader is actually reminiscent of iTunes; you can download new content directly from the desktop app to sync to the devices.
FBReader is not really a replacement, unless you just want to read mobi books.
Note also that FBReader does not support secure mobipocket books, which is a problem for those among us who, for whatever reason, own a few of those.
