Installing Might and Magic

I am attempting to install Might and Magic 6 and I wanted to know how you went about installing 7. They are similar. I'm at a loss here.

I pretty sure that I have also played MM6 through Crossover.
But tell me more, why are you at loss?

I am attempting to install it, and trying different methods but can't get the application to open.

Basically, install is weird and I don't know what to do. I was wondering what you did with 7.

Is it the Sold-out version of the game?

Install is weird. Can you say a little more about what the problem is?

I couldn't tell you about the version other than the fact that I ordered it off of Amazon.com

It shows the Install prompt screen (with the three shields) and I click Install. It simulates the install and all is fine but I can't get the game to run. I am assuming that the install is being done incorrectly.

What confuses me the most is what to do about a two disc game. Do i run install on both discs? When I put in the second disc it asks me for the first.

If I remember correctly the first disc is for installing only and disc 2 is the play disc with a soundtrack in cd quality.

So firstly you could try some of these tips: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=2951

Look at how to's. I'd try nr. 3 if I were you.

If it's still doesn't work then you could install it in Windows and then move the whole folder to your mac and then it should run.

If I have time I will try to install it later. Right now I only have MM7 installed on my computer.

Thanx I'll give these a try and get back to you with results

Works out. Thank you so much.

Cool :D

Was all of this for Mac or for linux?

I have been trying to install both VI and VII and I always get an initialization error.

Also, when I go to install it and it shows the requirements and my computers specs, it tells me that I fail the memory requirement because I "have 2 GB when the minimum requirement is 32 MB. The program may run slugishly, or just not run at all."

I was wondering if that happened to everyone or just me.

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I followed the steps to get 7 to run and now I have MM6 running on my computer. Its awesome. Nostalgia at its finest. I love this program.

Fantastic 😉 you got it to work. I think it can't count as high as 2 GB of ram, it also happened to me but it doesn't affect the game at all.
