Game freeze

Hia,

as soon I try to load a old save game or try to start a new, the game does not more respond. The music is played in the background, but the loading screen (map) is staying and only forceful quitting helps.
Since the game is listed as Gold, any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

I remember I also had problems with this but it was quite rarely that it got stuck.

Try updating the game with the patches listed here: http://telp.org/mm9/index.html

Tried Telps MM9 patch. Still freezes up.

What version did you use when you tried MM9?
Are there any special settings for the bottle or something to add maybe?

I used version Crossover Games 7, probably 7.2.

Ok, So I will try downgrading to 7.

I don't get it to run. It still freeze up under CXG 7-8.

I don't see gold justified for this game.

Hi there,

Please include here you OS (version) / videocard type. The gold
ranking (for CXG-7.2) is against the Mac platform...and at a guess,
that'd be MacOSX 10.5.x in use. A lot has changed in MacOSX since
then...and...a Mac fitted with a gma or ati video chipset, will
behave entirely different to a Mac with a nvidia video chipset.

Please don't condemn the ranking until you've ascertained the cause ;
there are a lot of variables to consider here, and not nearly enough
hard data (system specs) to be able to isolate the work case.

@Sophus - it'd be nice if you recorded you system specs as well
relative to the gold medal you gave this title 😉

Cheers!

2009 Mac Mini:
2GHz Core2Duo, 4BG Ram, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 with 250MB
running: Mac OS X 10.6.3 (10D573)

Please let me know if you need any other informations.

My test was made with a MacBook 2,1 (Intel GMA950) running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

So it runs on iBooks, but not in Mac Mini then?

The difference lies in the graphics card or the operating system, as you are running Snow Leopard.

Unfortunately, the defect described happens on my Windows machine as well. So it's not really a CrossOver problem, but game incompatibilities with modern machine. Paradoxically, it works fine on my MacPro under CrossOver 12.1.2 on Mountain Lion (I have a Geforce GTX 460 as graphic board)
