cx 4.1 server, beta1: Newer windows version needed

Hi,

When installing on cx4.1 beta1, it fails with "Newer windows version
needed".

tried the following versions inside .cxoffice/dotwine/config, with no
success:

"Windows" = "nt40"
"Windows" = "win2k"
"Windows" = "win2k3"
"Windows" = "winxp"
"Windows" = "win98"

here is the size and md5 for my word viewer:

kalou@nec ls -l /tmp/wdviewer.exe
-rw-r--r-- 1 kalou kalou 12311240 2005-02-14 11:51 /tmp/wdviewer.exe

kalou@nec md5sum /tmp/wdviewer.exe
83ffb4cc1c7a08a889ebe61a611b45dc /tmp/wdviewer.exe

don't really know how to fix this.

Hey I guess I didn't know any better so I just started installing stuff. Installed the viewer so I could read stuff from my windows partition. Was I supposed to be surprised when it worked? New to Linux and so far so good have a number of things installed and working. 😉

I have some screenshots of some of the progs and apps I have running. Have a shot of Suse KDE desktop with EZ-Pic.exe w/jpg open, IE w/active-x webmail at http://www.walla.com , MS Word Viewer w/ ( http://www.computerbytesman.com/privacy/blair.htm ) blair.doc opened and a small game called Bejeweled.exe running all at the same time.

I also play UT2004 linux version and used to play the windows version. I am used to editing files in games and noticed that the only thing different in the two versions is MS Win ver. can use both OpenGL and DirectX drivers. I even copied over folders like "Maps" etc. and they worked fine. I think if I can find more games that support OpenGL I could get them running. Seems that's all that would be needed, is to get the people who write games to support OpenGL. Games run smoother using OpenGL even in MS Windows!

Anyway what do I do with screenshots or where do I send them?

Tony!

Hi Tony, you have to look for the application/game you want to submit items to... For the MS Word Viewer 2003 screenshots, you can send it to appdb@codeweavers.com telling them which program it is...

Glad to hear it's going well for you. I'm sure they will always accept applications by enthusiastic people like you!
