Microsoft Word 2003 Forum

Installed Office 2003 from a SP3 install CD. Word launches ok and seems to work ok. However, if left alone for a few moments, it tries some kind of update, and stops when displaying something about PCHEALTH, opens a dialog window saying the "install ended prematurily" and hangs.

Does anybody where this could come from and how to fix it?

I have the same problem. If I am quick enough and I cancel the update, word does not crash, but I don't fix it is a good workaround :D

Sorry, we're clearly not checking this forum as often as we should. We've this issue pop up in a few different Office 2k3 installs, and we're trying to track it more closely. Would you mind sending in a support ticket detailing the problem with your operating system info, crossover version, and as much detail about your Office 2k3 SP3 install as possible (version, language, etc.)?
